Cayman Residents are Richer for the Holidays with Digicel Cash for Christmas Jackpot

George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – December 19, 2011:   Two very lucky Digicel customers are each US$7,500 richer today. Seddia Ann-Marie Clarke of East End and Euphema Duncan of George Town are the first winners to share the cash Jackpot which stood at US$15,000 on 16^th December 2011 in the Digicel ‘Cash for Christmas’ promotion.

The long-time Digicel customers were ecstatic when they were presented with the enlarged cheque bearing the winning amounts. Euphema was presented with the good news during a stop at a popular retailer in George Town, whilst Seddia was overcome with joy at home.

The exciting promotion which started on 11^th November 2011 has awarded a number of Samsung 4G smartphones to customers including Evert Hawthorne, Neteasha Bennett, Teresa Soto, Anthony Poyser, Wayne Powell, Carlos Gorvin, Chevis Barnett, Carlos Robinson and many other customers. 

Cash for Christmas is based on the theme of “Lucky Numbers” offering weekly cash prizes.  So far, the cash jackpot has been very elusive until both prepaid customers matched the recently drawn numbers of 4, 17, 24, 25. Digicel customers may enter the competition by prepaid recharge (Top up) of $5 or more, or postpaid bill payments. Digicel customers receive randomly delivered numbers in sets of five to their phones for these transactions.  Match all four numbers and the lucky customer(s) wins the cash jackpot instantly.  By matching three numbers and the bonus ball with the ones received to customers’ phones, each customer wins a Digicel 4G-compatible Samsung smartphone. 

The Digicel Cash for Christmas Jackpot has re-started at the basic US$5,000 Jackpot. If there is no winner within a particular week, then the cash prize is “rolled-over.” Half of the amount will be added to the following consecutive weekly draw and the other half deposited to a Grand Prize cash pool. There will be a draw for the Grand Prize on 30^th December 2011.
