[1]. Explain the $30 Unlimited Postpaid plan available from Digicel?
A. With Digicel’s latest postpaid promotion, customers in the Cayman Islands can make unlimited local Digicel-to-Digicel fixed line and Digicel–to-Digicel mobile calls plus local SMS to any other network for only $30.
[2].When was this launched?
A. The Digi-Cay unlimited postpaid plan was launched on July 20th, 2009.
[3].Can I call any network and benefit from these plans?
A. No. Calls based on these plans must be Digicel-to-Digicel local mobile or Digicel to local Digicel Fixed Line.
[4].Can I text any network and benefit from these plans?
A. Yes. Digicel customers may text any local network (including competitor’s) with this new postpaid plan.
[5].Are there new requirements to sign-up?
A. The basic requirements remain the same as with any other Digicel postpaid plan. These include a Cayman Islands national ID such as a drivers license/ enumerator ID card/ passport, deposit of $70 (for basic $30 Plan) or $100 (for $30 plan plus Postpaid Add-On) and a local billing address. No deposit for roaming is required.
[6].Can I utilize direct debit each month to activate or do I have to visit a Digicel store each month?
A. Like all Digicel postpaid plans, the $30 DigiCay Unlimited plans are contracted on a one year basis. During the initial activation, our customers are given the choice of direct-debit payments which proves to be very convenient and efficient.
Once Digicel customers sign-up for any of these new plans with direct-debit mandate, your account will be automatically debited for the respective plans and you can then talk or text for unlimited periods (***) without the need to re-visit a Digicel dealer.
[7].Will I get a monthly bill?
A. Yes. Like all Digicel postpaid plans, our customers are sent statements detailing all calls and charges, including calls made ab extra (outside the plan). Please note that Add-On waives confidentiality billing rights for primary and added-on subscribers. Effective April 1, 2010, all monthly statements that are sent via the post will be charged a monthly fee of $2.00. We encourage you to “Go Green” by signing up for e-billing in order to preserve our planet and its resources.
[8].What is a ‘Postpaid Add-On’?
A. A Digicel Postpaid Add-on is any product or service purchased or contracted for a fixed term (1 year), that is a subset of a current postpaid plan with Digicel and chargeable as contracted.
Add-ons are not plans by themselves, but complement an existing contractual agreement with the company (‘Digicel’). Therefore, there must be an existing postpaid contract in order to access the respective add-ons from Digicel, as a value-added service.
Add-Ons are prorated based on the current postpaid contract.
[9].Is there any Add-On service option for the $30 Unlimited Postpaid Plan?
A. Yes. Digicel customers on the $30 Unlimited Local Plan can benefit from Add-On services specially called ‘Bolt-On’. For only $19 per month, this Add-On service offers Digicel postpaid customers bundled international packages of either:
· 100 minutes to call the world *
· 150 minutes to call USA (mobiles and landlines), Canada (mobiles and landlines) or the U.K. ( landlines only).
· 2500 minutes to call any Digicel Caribbean country (Guyana and Antigua not Included).
Please note that these minutes do not roll over and any additional minutes used outside of these minutes will be billed at regular “out of bundle” rates. Any other international calls made to any other country outside the plan or Add-On boundary, will also be charged at regular calling rates.
[10].Define the term ‘world’ * as related to the 100 minutes World Bolt-On?
A. ‘World’ includes all countries globally, excluding international calls to Antarctica, Ascension, Cook Islands, Cuba, Falkland Islands, Guinea Bissau, Norfolk Islands, Saint Helena, Sao Tome & Principe, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Thuraya, Iridium and Inmarsat.
